FAQ

Not a one-trick pony.

Make sure to check out our blog post on the top 15 questions to ask before hiring your billing service (link in the text).

What are your rates?

NYMBS follows the traditional method of percentage based rates for billing. This means we charge a flat-rate percentage of net collections. This ensures we’re both mutually motivated for success and profitability in your practice. There are no monthly subscriptions costs or additional or hidden fees. We only get paid when we successfully get you paid.

The percentage rate will vary based on a number of factors and we provide a free, no obligation quote. Simply follow the steps in the form to the right.

Do you work with all insurance payors?

Thank you! Your submission has been received!
Oops! Something went wrong while submitting the form

Yes! Its our job to work with all commercial, government and local carriers to maximize your practice’s efficiency and profitability.

How are claims filed?

Electronic claims submission can drastically increase the speed to receiving reimbursements, so we work hard to ensure every carrier possible is connected through EFT and electronic claims submission. It also allows for ERA (electronic remittance advice) for improved efficiency in posting payments.

Setting up EDI (electronic data interchange) with each carrier can be a time-consuming process and we’re proud to offer this at no additional charge.

Do you provide a guarantee on claim turnaround?

We guarantee that each claim will be processed within 24 hours of receiving it, yes. However, due to the varying nature of each carrier, some may take longer to respond to requests for reimbursements. We’ve learned the intricacies of each payor and utilize our experience to maximize cash flow for payment turnarounds in under two weeks in over 90% of cases.

Can you integrate with our existing Practice Management and EHR software?

In most cases, yes we can. This will depend a bit on your software vendor’s capability for API interfacing. If we can’t get the software vendor to cooperate, we can simply create a new login and hop into your existing database to perform the necessary billing functions. In 99% of cases, we are able to easily work with your existing software.

Note: We strongly encourage you to let us do a simple analysis on your existing software / technology workflows. In almost every case, we’re able to make recommendations for improvement that can have significant positive financial impacts on your business. After becoming experts on countless systems, we’ve found the absolute best-in-class workflows for practices to adopt and would be happy to assist you in the transition.
